Please Help

For over 40 years, the Firestone Park Citizen's Council (FPCC) has enriched the lives of those of us who live or have lived in Firestone Park. It has survived so long because the residents of our little corner of Akron take pride in their community and value their neighbors. Toward this end, the Citizen's Council along with FirestonePark.com bring neighbors together in celebration, further the interests of local business and tirelessly work to beautify and enrich Firestone Park.

Our goal was, is, and will always be to
"Make Firestone Park a Nicer Place to Call Home."

The FPCC and its legacy is in danger of vanishing forever. A lack of interest and a scarcity of volunteers is threatening to make the FPCC a thing of the past. We can't let this happen!

The Firestone Park Fireworks Display could become a thing of the past too...

In truth, there are only 6 of us planning festivals, hosting events, raising funds, producing a newsletter (which has been temporarily discontinued) and communicating with our members. And frankly, we just can't keep this up by ourselves. Without help from you, all of the FPCC's endeavors, including the annual parade and our Famous Firestone Park Fireworks display WILL become a thing of the past. Do you really want this to happen?

So we're not just asking, but Begging for your help, people of Firestone Park. Please become involved before it becomes too late!  We need members and volunteers who will donate just a few hours of their time and a little bit of their talent. We need help planning and executing events such as the Tree Lighting Celebration, our Fall Harvest festival and of course our Summer Celebration Festival.

Not your cup of tea? How about fund raising, newsletter production, making phone calls, baking cookies or stuffing envelopes. No volunteer will go unappreciated, and no suggestion will be ignored. The cost to you is virtually nothing, just an hour or two a month, and the rewards are endless. Not only will you be able to help shape the future of Firestone Park, but you will also gain the personal satisfaction of helping to enrich your community!
