1986 - Firestone Park Citizens Council Celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Coincidently, Firestone Park Celebrated 70 years since Mr. Harvey Firestone dedicated "The Park". It was with great pleasure that the Citizens Council was able to collaborate with Clarice Finley Lewis to bring you this book of The History of Firestone Park

Many of you enjoyed "Mosaic of Memories - Fifty Years of Garfield High School." Clarice's late sister, Lois Finley, was editor in chief of that book. She made a chance remark that there should be a History of Firestone Park. Clarice took that remark and began her extensive research and interviews. It was a long and and grueling task for her over a four year period. Thank you Clarice, Lois, former friends and neighbors and Citizen's Council, for your time and efforts to bring this book alive for our enjoyment.
