Each summer, hundreds of young
champions come here to face off for six national titles at the Soap
Box Derby. This tradition goes back to 1933, when Dayton Daily News
photographer Myron Scott saw some kids racing their homemade cars and
held a contest for them. Two years later, the race moved to Akron. |
